For the past 10 years Above All has been providing quality ceilings and partitioning to Richards Bay, Empangeni and surrounding areas. Here’s our story.

One year ago I paid a visit to the Pelican Zululand branch office after closing the branch at the end of December 2009. My reason was to meet with businessmen who had shown an interest in taking over the business and becoming a Class A distributor of the Pelican and Lafarge Gypsum product range in Zululand. Sasha Naidoo, at that stage, was acting as caretaker after having been retrenched, owing to our decision to close the branch. I was so impressed by her work ethic that my plan was to recommend her as the manager of any new business that was formed by any of the businessmen that I had earmarked. Sasha had obviously done her homework and when I visited she surprised me by asking me why I had not thought of giving her the opportunity to run the business. To be honest, I thought that this was impossible. Well, the rest is history and 12 months have passed since we agreed to give her the chance to prove herself. I am proud to recommend Above All Ceilings and Partitions as our exclusive distributor to the sub-contractors and builders in the Zululand area, and in particular this special business woman who is a single mother with two children who are students. The results she has achieved are extraordinary and in a tough climate she has made payment every month. All at Pelican wish her well and know that her business will grow from strength to strength.

My spontaneous decision was one of the best decisions I have made during my 40 years in business and I have no doubt that a success story is being built and Zululand will always be in safe hands while she is the owner and in charge. Quality, service honesty and a friendly disposition are her building blocks and many of her current customers will agree. I hope that many others give Sasha and her business the chance to show how good they are at servicing all their requirements in our field of expertise.

Sasha Naidoo took a leap of faith a year ago and her belief in herself and her staff has paid off. Taking on the challenging job of running her own business has paid dividends and Above All Ceilings and Partitions has grown into a thriving business in the home improvement sector. Sasha and her loyal and dedicated staff strive for perfection in all that they do and this shows in the increased business they have received in the last 12 months. Above All Partitions and Ceilings came into existence when Sasha bought out Pelican Systems and began her own business. Now, serving as a retailer for Pelican Systems, Sasha and her team make renovating and building homes a pleasure. Sasha says, ‘I could not have done this without the support of my excellent staff and loyal customers. ‘I would like to especially thank my children, Judy and Neven who, although not directly involved in the business, have provided support and assistance whenever needed. ‘An extra special thanks to my customers. It has been an honour and a pleasure to meet your needs and we look forward to a continued and improving relationship over the coming years.
